Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Titus 2:3-5
The women at Pilgrim encourage and love each other through a listening ear, a good laugh and thoughtful prayers. Our varied ages, responsibilities and life stages create a unique support system. We seek to grow in the grace of knowledge of Jesus by studying God’s word together.
Our Women’s Ministry Team Lead, Vicky Maienshien, recently agreed to serve as regional representative for Women’s Ministry tot he Philadelphia Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America. Vicky will be encouraging women to be disciples of Jesus in our region by strengthening their church’s ministry among women. For more, see Vicky or www.pcadm.org.

Mothers of Preschoolers
Pilgrim hosts a local chapter of MOPS. The group meets monthly on the first Thursday of the month from September to May. Meetings typically include plenty of time for conversation, food, a speaker, and craft. Childcare is provided during the meetings. On the 3rd Thursday of each month, Philly MOPS organizes an event such as a playgroup, mom’s night out or field trip for the whole family. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
Side by Side
We are a Christian Medical Dental Association ministry for women who are married to medical and dental students, residents, fellows, and staff physicians and dentists. We are a non-denominational, Bible-based ministry that seeks to encourage and minister to women in medical marriages through fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. We are committed to standing “side by side” our husbands, our sisters in Christ, and our Lord.
Side by Side has been a source of support, bonding, prayer, and encouragement. It is also a source of laughter and good food as we walk with each other and our husbands in medical life.
