Kids and Today’s Tough Topics: Listening and Speaking (Contemporary Issues)
NEWS FLASH: THINGS TODAY ARE DIFFERENT THAN WHEN WE WERE KIDS. Some hear that and stiffen their spine. Others hear that as a relief. But what if we responded in neither way? What if it’s true that people are people but habits and influences change over time? What’s wisdom as we rear little ones in a big city?
From gender and sexual confusion, a slew of new terms and emotional hot-buttons, it’s good to pause and consider together our commitments to our King and our kids. We’ll open informed discussions on what we can know and not know about gender and sexual issues, how to respond in grace, and how to remain hopeful in Jesus despite struggling with ourselves, a society and neighborhood, and our household. Together we’ll seek to listen and speak in Jesus’ wisdom.
Andrea Havens, Bob Heywood, Erik Larsen
Sundays, 9:30am Starting November 22, 29 [2 Sundays]
Hebrews: Part II (Bible)
Originally a sermon (a ‘short message’) Hebrews pulls no punches in showing Jesus as mediator of a better, newer, lasting, eternal, and effective agreement between Heaven (Jesus) and earth (us). A window on the Old Testament in the electric New Testament, Hebrews shines. Let it transport you, so that we all learn to share its message with our network of friends and family.

Sundays, Starting Sept 13, 9:30am
Financial Peace University (Contemporary Issues)
Whether on the front-end of your career or the back end, money matters.
Whether buried in school debt, gambling debt or credit card debt, money matters.
Whether living on a trust, with no financial needs at all, money still matters. It matters to Jesus too. So it matters also to those who love Jesus.
Let’s study together FPU’s approach to our money, seeking to grow in good skill that we might live generously in the contentment Jesus provides.
